06/01/2013 - More on the wing tips

So following Darwin's process I bought half round hardwood doweling and followed his instructions.

All marked up I placed the doweling where I wanted them

Then some heavy weights to glue down the strips.  Once they are dry they will go off to be fibre glassed.

I also managed to get one of the pods reinforced as per the plans.  One down another to go....

In the mean time the wings have been flatted ready for final paint.

And a final decision made on the paint.  The larger of the plates on the desk is the chosen colour.

The picture make its look very silver as the light fittings were shining on it.  I will take some more photos in different light to show how light will effect this colour.
